Planned maintenance

This page provides details of planned maintenance events for the OS APIs

API service status

Any live interruptions to the availability of the OS APIs will be documented on the Service Status Dashboard on the OS Data Hub. The dashboard is updated every 10 minutes and shows the status of OS APIs over the last 24 hours (i.e. available, degraded, or interrupted availability).

Planned maintenance

OS Places API planned maintenance starting: Friday 19 December 2025–Friday 02 January 2026

Impacted API

Planned maintenance will impact the OS Places API.

Duration

All services should resume by Friday 02 January 2026, at the latest.

Impacts to customers

For the duration of the planned maintenance period, daily updates for the OS Places API will be suspended from 20 December 2025. Daily updates will resume again from Friday 02 January 2026.

The OS Places API service will remain available throughout the planned maintenance with no disruption to service availability expected.
