# OS Download Products' Documentation

## What's available on this site?

This is a self-serve site containing documentation and guides relating to the Ordnance Survey (OS) [Premium](#types-of-download-data-products) and [OpenData](#types-of-download-data-products) Download products [available to download through the OS Data Hub](https://osdatahub.os.uk/). 

On the left-hand-side menu, we've grouped documentation first by portfolio, then alphabetically by product. Under each product's landing page, you'll usually find the following product-specific documents:

* Release Notes (available for most products)
* An Overview
* A Getting Started Guide (available for most products)
* A Technical Specification
* Downloads (contains any additional files to download for a product, such as classification schemes and CSV header files, and links to product stylesheets and XML schemas held on other OS sites, if available for a product)
* Known Data Issues

### Types of Download data products

There are two types of Download data product: **OS Premium** and **OS OpenData:**

When we refer to Premium products we mean paid-for datasets – whether they’re paid for by businesses, purchased through an [OS Partner](https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/customers/os-channel-partners), or accessed free at the point of use under the [Public Sector Geospatial Agreement (PSGA)](https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/customers/public-sector/public-sector-geospatial-agreement).&#x20;

The OS Premium Download data products are available to download in a range of formats, with a variety of ordering options, through the [OS Data Hub](https://osdatahub.os.uk/) on our [Premium and Public Sector plans](https://osdatahub.os.uk/plans).

Our Premium Download data products work in a range of software, including ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, Cadcorp SIS, MapInfo, Tableau, Kepler.gl and many more.

OS OpenData Download products are **free** to use by anyone for any purpose – including for services from which you make a profit.&#x20;

The OS OpenData Download products are available to download in a variety of formats, with a variety of ordering options, through the [OS Data Hub](https://osdatahub.os.uk/data/downloads/open).
