OS 3D Mesh is a beta product that's currently available to be built to order.
OS 3D Mesh is a stand-alone product providing a photorealistic three-dimensional representation of the surface of the Earth and any features sitting above it, such as buildings, roads, and vegetation. The 3D mesh provided by this product can be used to visualise an area (for example, for urban planning and citizen engagement) or for analytical tasks such as line-of-sight analysis for the telecommunications and security sectors.
OS 3D Mesh is derived from aerial imagery captured as part of our national imagery capture programme.
Includes both the ground terrain and features present on the surface, modelled as a single continuous mesh.
The 3D mesh is available as OGC 3D tiles.
Source imagery is available for the whole of Great Britain, captured on a three-year cycle.
The mesh for a specified area is created to order.
The product has been designed to work with Ordnance Survey's large-scale data.
Supplied as a 3D mesh structure, the product allows for the representation of overhangs and, to some extent, bridges.
OS 3D Mesh is available in beta for a limited time and will not be maintained. Future products based on this beta product will be maintained in line with the source imagery.
You can download 3D Mesh sample data, view the product online, or enquire about ordering custom 3D Mesh data via the OS 3D Mesh beta data product page on the Ordnance Survey website.
