## Historical information on changes to electoral arrangements of Local authorities, Parliamentary areas and European Parliamentary boundaries

In the excel file below, we have recorded changes from 1973 onwards and, where available, provided links to the legislation for that change:

## Historic counties files

We have included the boundaries of historic counties such as Westmorland, Radnorshire and Wigtownshire from the late Nineteenth Century to download and view as a Shapefile or Tab file below:

Historic counties files represent historic records and mapping circa 1888 using the primary sources of the Local Government (England and Wales) Act 188, the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889 and the Sheriffs Act 1887. More details are available in the Historic County Boundaries document below:
