August 2025 – Epoch 45

This release note provides information about the August 2025 release of OS Open TOID (Epoch 45).

There are no missing features and no duplicated TOIDs in this release. No significant errors have been identified.

In this release, the tile ‘NW’ was found to be noticeably larger than the previous release (~5% larger) in both CSV and GPKG formats. OS data improvement work in the area on a small number of transport features has caused a larger than usual percentage change. This is expected, as the tile 'NW' only includes a small area of land around The Rhins of Galloway in South Western Scotland, and most of the tile is sea.

The next release of OS Open TOID (Epoch 46), is scheduled for 15 September 2025.
