# OS Detailed Path Network Documentation

#### Product nearing its End of Life (withdrawal) date

The OS Detailed Path Network product will become End of Life on 30 September 2026. As of this date, Ordnance Survey will cease to maintain or publish updates to the product, and access to the product will be removed from the OS Data Hub, OS Features API and OS Vector Tile API. The final product update will be the October 2025 update.

OS Detailed Path Network is a fully-connected, heighted path network covering Britain’s National Parks. Create off-road navigation apps, build exciting navigation websites and apps that help your users find great routes and stay on the right track.

You can download sample data for the product for free from the [OS Data Hub](https://osdatahub.os.uk/data/downloads/sample/OsDetailedPathNetwork). The sample data is available in GML 3.2 format and covers one area (Dartmoor).

## Other ways to access this data

OS Detailed Path Network data is available from our [OS Features API](https://docs.os.uk/os-apis/accessing-os-apis/os-features-api), providing access to detailed geometries and rich attribution of individual features using an interoperable standard that's compatible with most GIS software and web mapping libraries.
