End of Life Product Notices

What does End of Life mean?

End of Life for a product means that OS stops publishing updates and removes access to the product from the OS Data Hub and / or our APIs. We will issue customer notices at least 12 months prior to the End of Life date. (Products with high usage and / or known complexities with migration will have a longer notice period.)

Public Sector Geospatial Agreement (PSGA) Members can retain and continue to use data from End of Life products if they wish beyond the withdrawal date; there's no obligation to delete it.

Why is this happening?

As part of our strategic product roadmap, OS is committed to the evolution of geospatial data and services in order to meet customers’ needs. Through the PSGA, OS continuously delivers enhancements to the OS National Geographic Database (OS NGD) to provide new, richer data across all market sectors. We’ve improved usability by providing customers with access to the latest OS NGD data enhancements via new systems (the OS Data Hub and APIs) rather than via older and less efficient mechanisms. As a result, some of our existing Download products will become out of date and reach the end of their life.

Roadmap for OS products reaching End of Life

The OS product roadmap outlines our focus areas for enhancements and new releases in 2025 and beyond. Additionally, it offers a forward view of the End of Life plans for some of our Premium and OpenData Download products. The delivery of our planned roadmap will enable the OS NGD to better serve your needs. All timings are subject to in-flight product development and customer readiness.
