# Product Sample Data

Download sample data for OS Download products or visualise it online.

{% hint style="success" %}

## Get sample data

There are two options available for you to interact with sample data for OS Download products:

* You can visualise sample data for most of the OS Premium and OS OpenData products online through the [OS MasterMap Product Viewer Tool](https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/20981dabcb14402687dccb437a4a78fb/).
* You can download sample data (in various formats) for the OS Premium products from the [OS Data Hub](https://osdatahub.os.uk/downloads/sample-data). (Sample data is not available to download for the OS OpenData products as these products can be freely downloaded in their entirety from the [OS Data Hub](https://osdatahub.os.uk/downloads/open) under the [Open Government Licence](http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3/).)

## OS MasterMap Product Viewer Tool

The [OS MasterMap Product Viewer Tool](https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/20981dabcb14402687dccb437a4a78fb/) lets you visualise product sample data online for three areas in Great Britain (Exeter, Newport and Inverness). Sample data for most of the OS OpenData and OS Premium data products is available through the tool.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.os.uk/os-downloads/resources/product-resources/product-sample-data.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
