# accesspurposevalue

This code list is used in association with the Access Purpose attribute which is present within the Site Access Location Feature Type and Building Access Location Feature Type. The code list describes the main function of the access location in normal circumstances.

| Label          | Definition                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     |
| -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Emergency      | An entrance / exit location that is solely intended for use in emergencies.                                                                                                                                                                                    |
| Primary Public | A principal entrance / exit location that is intended for public use. Usually, what is referred to as the ‘Main Entrance’. A given Site / Building may have more than one primary public access location; for larger features in particular, this is expected. |
| Private        | An entrance / exit location that is not intended for public use.                                                                                                                                                                                               |
| Public         | An entrance / exit location that is intended for public use.                                                                                                                                                                                                   |
