This code list is used in association with the Address Status attribute which is present within the Alternate Address Related Component and multiple feature types in the OS NGD Address Theme*.* This code list describes the different lifecycle statuses that are attributable to an address.

| Label       | Definition                                                                                              |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Alternative | No definition available.                                                                                |
| Approved    | An address which is live and is currently able to receive mail, deliveries, or services.                |
| Historical  | An address which is no longer live.                                                                     |
| Provisional | An address which is under construction or has received planning permission, but has not yet been built. |
