This page details upcoming data that will be provided for the new Density Value Code List in the OS NGD from the end of March 2026 to give you early insight. This code list is currently not available through the live access services. The information on this page is as accurate as possible, but is subject to change before launch.

This code list is used in association with the Residential Density attribute which is present within the Retail Area Major Feature Type. This code list provides a classification of the density of residential addresses for identified retail areas.

Label	Definition
High	Calculation of the density of residential addresses. There is a high density of residential addresses per square kilometre within the agreed classification.
Low	Calculation of the density of residential addresses. There is a low density of residential addresses per square kilometre within the agreed classification.
