# historiccountydescriptionvalue

This code list is used in association with the Description attribute which is present within the Historic County Feature Type. The code list marks the features as a historic county to make selection and filtering of features easier when used with other data.

| Historic County | The boundaries of the areas in England, Scotland and Wales indicated as a County prior to the Local Government Act 1888. |
