This page details upcoming data that will be provided for the new Match Method Value Code List in the OS NGD from the end of September 2025 to give you early insight. This code list is currently not available through the live access services. The information on this page is as accurate as possible, but is subject to change before launch.

This code list is used in association with the Match Method attribute which is present within the Royal Mail Address Feature Type. The code list describes the method by which a Unique Delivery Point Reference Number (UDPRN) has been matched to a Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN).

Label	Definition
Automated	Unique Delivery Point Reference Number (UDPRN) matched algorithmically.
Manual	Unique Delivery Point Reference Number (UDPRN) matched non-algorithmically or by Local Authorities.
Unknown	The method for matching the Unique Delivery Point Reference Number (UDPRN) to a Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN) cannot be assigned.
