This page details upcoming data that will be provided for the new Retail Area Minor Description Value Code List in the OS NGD from the end of March 2026 to give you early insight. This code list is currently not available through the live access services. The information on this page is as accurate as possible, but is subject to change before launch.

This code list is used in association with the Description attribute within the Retail Area Minor Feature Type. It provides information on the type of retail area the feature represents.

Label	Definition
Retail Area Minor	Retail Area Minor features are identified where three or more addresses with a suitable classification (those which are indicative of retail) are within a defined proximity of each other. These features can either be linked to a site or remain unbounded, and they are not constrained by street.
