API service status and OS NGD data issues

OS NGD live service disruption

There are no live service disruptions affecting OS NGD at this time.

OS NGD planned maintenance

Upcoming planned maintenance: Sunday 21 December–Tuesday 06 January 2026 – UPDATE ON 23 DECEMBER 2025

During the planned maintenance scheduled from Sunday 21 December 2025 through to Tuesday 06 January 2026, we are making a slight adjustment to the availability of updates regarding one feature type in the OS Islands Address Collection.

Impacted data update

• Pre-Build Address Feature Type v2.0 updates were made available on 21 December 2025 as planned

• Pre-Build Address Feature Type v1.0 and v3.0 will be available on 24 December 2025

Once these updates have been completed, then no further updates will be supplied for the OS NGD Address Theme until 06 January 2026, as previously communicated.

Duration

All services should resume by Tuesday 06 January 2026.

Impacts to customers

All daily Change-Only Update (COU) orders will not be delivered and processed as usual:

• Files for all feature types (v1.0, 2.0 and 3.0) in the OS GB Address Collection will be empty for the duration of the maintenance period.

• Files for the Built Address, Historic Address, Non-Addressable Object and Royal Mail Address Feature Types (v1.0, 2.0 and 3.0) and the Street Address Feature Type (v1.0) in the OS Islands Address Collection will be empty for the duration of the maintenance period. However, the Pre-Build Address Feature Type (v1.0 and 3.0) in this collection will receive a small amount of updates on 24 December 2025.

Change updates for OS GB Address Collection

During this maintenance period, we are taking the opportunity to improve our address data processing systems which subsequently enhances our data integrity. As a result, there will be an increase in change updates for the following collection:

• OS GB Address v1.0 approx. ~3.2M

• OS GB Address v2.0 approx.~4.8M

• OS GB Address v3.0 approx. ~4.8M

Customers who have a daily order which contains the OS Islands Address Collection and Royal Mail Address Feature Types may receive a larger than usual COU file when the maintenance period ends.
