Road Link and Path Link attribution
Details about the Cycle Lane Presence attribution available in the Road Link and Path Link Feature Types.
The Road Link and Path Link Feature Types can be found in the OS NGD Transport Network Collection of the OS NGD Transport Theme. These feature types represent line geometry for Great Britain’s road and path system and provide routable networks when used in conjunction with the Road Node and Path Node Feature Types.
Attribution is provided against Road Links (data schema version 5.0 onward) and Path Links (data schema version 3.0 onward) to indicate the presence of cycle lanes; you can use the data to see if there's cycle lane infrastructure present along a road or path and quantify how much there is.
Key attribution
Key Cycle Lane Presence attribution on the Road Link and Path Link Feature Types includes:
Overall Presence and Overall Percentage: Indicate the length (in metres) and the percentage of the link that has a cycle lane present on it. (Presence Of Cycle Lane Overall M and Presence Of Cycle Lane Overall Percentage attributes for Path Link; Presence Of Cycle Lane Overall M and Presence Of Cycle Lane Overall Percentage attributes for Road Link.)
In Direction Presence and Percentage: Indicate the length (in metres) and the percentage of the link that has a cycle lane present on it that can be traversed in the direction of digitisation of the link. (Presence Of Cycle Lane In Direction M and Presence Of Cycle Lane In Direction Percentage for Path Link; Presence Of Cycle Lane In Direction M and Presence Of Cycle Lane In Direction Percentage for Road Link.)
In Opposite Direction Presence and Percentage: Indicate the length (in metres) and the percentage of the link that has a cycle lane present on it that can be traversed against the direction of digitisation of the link. (Presence Of Cycle Lane In Opposite Direction M and Presence Of Cycle Lane In Opposite Direction Percentage for Path Link; Presence Of Cycle Lane In Opposite Direction M and Presence Of Cycle Lane In Opposite Direction Percentage for Road Link.)
In Direction Segregated Cycle Presence: Indicates length (in metres) of the link that has some form of segregated cycle lane away from the carriageway that can be traversed in the direction of digitisation of the link. (Presence Of Cycle Lane In Direction Segregated M for Path Link; Presence Of Cycle Lane In Direction Segregated M for Road Link.)
In Opposite Direction Segregated Cycle Presence: Indicates length (in metres) of the link that has some form of segregated cycle lane away from the carriageway that can be traversed against the direction of digitisation of the link. (Presence Of Cycle Lane In Opposite Direction Segregated M for Path Link; Presence Of Cycle Lane In Opposite Direction Segregated M for Road Link.)
