This code list is used in association with the Postcode Source attribute which is present within multiple feature types in the OS NGD Address Theme. The code list describes the origins of the different sources of a postcode, for example, Local Authority or Royal Mail.

A code list is a controlled set of allowable labels or codes represented as an alphanumeric attribute. The pages in this section show the code lists used within the OS National Geographic Database (NGD). Some of the code lists apply to attributes of multiple feature types, whereas others will only apply to attributes of one feature type.

This code list is used in association with the Address Status attribute which is present within the Alternate Address Related Component and multiple feature types in the OS NGD Address Theme. This code list describes the different lifecycle statuses that are attributable to an address.

This code list is used in association with the Description attribute which is present within multiple feature types in the OS NGD Address Theme. The code list describes the three high-level descriptions of an address based on an aggregated view of its postcode source.

This code list is used in association with the Description attribute which is used by the Average And Indicative Speed Feature Type. The code list describes the average and indicative speed.

This code list is used in association with the Street Type attribute which is present within the Street Address Feature Type. The code list describes the different types of street captured by Local Authorities.

This code list is used in association with the Building Age Period attribute which is present within the Building Feature Type. The code list describes the building construction periods represented in the data.

This code list is used in association with the Boundary Type attribute which is present within all feature types in the OS NGD Administrative and Statistical Units Theme. The code list describes the type of boundary (for example, ward, upper tier local authority, etc.).
