Two outline maps of Great Britain are available as free GeoTIFF downloads from the OS Data Hub. The file size for the zipped file containing both GeoTIFFs is 5.2MB.
The zipped file available through the OS Data Hub contains the following two files:
GB Overview: a high level map showing country boundaries, European country boundaries, major cities and national parks for England, Wales and Scotland.
GB Overview Plus: a more detailed map including additional cities and towns in England, Wales and Scotland as well as the major road networks connecting them.
Miniscale clearly shows towns and cities, motorways, major roads, railways and airports. A guide to the symbols depicted on this product is available as a PDF download below:
