There are no live service disruptions affecting OS NGD at this time.

OS NGD planned maintenance

Upcoming planned maintenance: Sunday 21 December–Tuesday 06 January 2026

We have planned maintenance scheduled from Sunday 21 December 2025 through to Tuesday 06 January 2026, at the latest, for the OS NGD Address Theme. This planned maintenance period coincides with the suspension of address data updates over the 2025–2026 Christmas and New Year period.

Impacted data

For the duration of the planned maintenance period, the following OS NGD Address collections will not have address change updated daily. All feature types in the following OS NGD Address collections will be affected by the planned maintenance period:

• OS GB Address Collection

• OS Islands Address Collection

Duration

All services should resume by Tuesday 06 January 2026

Impacts to customers

All daily Change-Only Update (COU) orders will not be delivered and processed as usual. Files for the OS NGD Address Theme will be empty for the duration of the maintenance period.

Access to OS NGD services will remain uninterrupted, but data for the two affected collections will not reflect daily Local Authority changes, Royal Mail Address or OS surveyed changes.

Change updates for OS GB Address Collection

During this maintenance period, we are taking the opportunity to improve our address data processing systems which subsequently enhances our data integrity. As a result, there will be an increase in change updates for the following Address GB Collections:

• OS GB Address v1.0 approx. ~3.2M

• OS GB Address v2.0 approx.~4.8M

• OS GB Address v3.0 approx. ~4.8M

Customers who have a daily order which contains the OS Islands Address Collection and Royal Mail Address Feature Types may receive a larger than usual COU file when the maintenance period ends.
