This code list is used in association with the Description attribute which is present within the Ceremonial County Feature Type. The code list describes the type of ceremonial county (for example, Scottish lieutenancy area).

| Label                     | Definition                                                                                        |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| English Ceremonial County | An area in England where the monarch appoints a personal representative for ceremonial purposes.  |
| Scottish Lieutenancy Area | An area in Scotland where the monarch appoints a personal representative for ceremonial purposes. |
| Welsh Preserved County    | An area in Wales where the monarch appoints a personal representative for ceremonial purposes.    |
