# surfacetypevalue

This code list is used in association with the Surface Type attribute which is present within the Path Link Feature Type. The code list describes the nature of the material that the path is made up of.

| Label         | Definition                                                                                                                     |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Made Sealed   | A manmade surface that consists of a solid material that is bonded (i.e. is not loose).                                        |
| Made Unknown  | A manmade surface that may be either sealed or unsealed.                                                                       |
| Made Unsealed | A surface that has been enhanced by the addition of a loose material, other than that which occurs naturally at that location. |
| Unmade        | A surface that has been recognisably modified by the passage of vehicles or pedestrians to form a communication route.         |
